Practical support for better grazing with DUC’s RangeFlex Program

RangeFlex is a voluntary, flexible, incentive-based program that helps livestock producers improve pasture management while supporting grassland health, biodiversity and on-farm profitability.
Through financial support, customized grazing plans, on-farm consultation and detailed mapping, RangeFlex helps you turn grazing goals into practical improvements tailored to your operation.
Financial support for pasture improvements
RangeFlex can offset the cost of eligible infrastructure and pasture improvements, helping you make the most of your existing land base.
Receive up to $5,000 per quarter section, to a maximum of $25,000 per producer, for eligible activities, subject to program requirements.
Eligible purchases and improvements may include:
Water system improvements may be eligible under RangeFlex.
Water systems
- Wells and dugouts
- Pasture pipelines and off-site watering systems
- Winter watering systems to help extend the grazing season
Fencing
- Perimeter and cross-fencing, including high-tensile and barbed wire
- Temporary fencing materials, including wire, reels, step-in posts and fencing carts
Pasture improvement
- Eligible legume seed for sod-seeding
