If your operation could benefit from more hay or pasture, DUC has financial incentives that can help. DUC-Alberta’s forage program offers $35/acre toward
the cost of seeding, and you may also be eligible for other program incentives.
Forage crops provide sustainable grazing sources for livestock and offer diversity in crop rotations. They also help protect against soil erosion and aid in retaining the land’s nutrient values. DUC-Alberta’s forage program, has partnered with Nutrien Ag Solutions to give producers an option and help with the cost of forage seed.
